10 Alzheimer's Warning Signs


21 September of every year has been designated as the World Alzheimer's Day to raise awareness of the extent of this disease and to educate the public regarding prevention, treatment and how to live with the disease. Alzheimer's disease is a type of dementia most commonly found amongst older generations and the public at large. The disease is most prominent in population above the age of 65 and 80 years old, at 10-15% and 20-30%, respectively.

1. Forgetful of recent events

2. Have trouble with daily life

3. Have difficulty with routine work and habits

4. Difficulty discerning time and place

5. Difficluty identifying objects

6. Difficulty expressing and identifying the environment

7. Misplace items in inapproriate places, suc as, placing shoes in the fridge

8. Reduced decision-making process

9. No longer interested in activities that would otherwise bring joy

10. Chages in moods and characteristics
